Reg Pearson spent the bulk of his career as the Director of Dispute Resolutions Services at the Ontario Ministry of Labour where he was responsible for Mediation, Arbitration and Collective Bargaining Information services. Mr. Pearson graduated from Loyalist College as an Electronic Engineering Technologist in 1973 and joined Bell Canada as an Electronic Technician working at their Communications Training Centre in Belleville, Ontario. In 1981 he became a full-time Business Representative with the United Food and Commercial Workers Union where he was responsible for the negotiation and servicing of some twenty collective agreements in the private and public sectors across Southern Ontario. Reg has taught at the Ryerson (now Toronto Metropolitan) University as a Professor for Public Sector Union Management Relations. He has served on several association’s Board of Directors, including the Ontario Construction Secretariat (OCS) and he was the elected President of the Association of Labour Relations Agencies (U.S. and Canada) in 2005. In 2018, after 15+ years of working at the Ministry of Labour and another 4 years at the Treasury Board Secretariat, he started his own mediation service. Reg is passionate about labour relations and has over 30 years of experience representing unions and management, as a neutral in all types of fields. He is an innovative, gifted communicator, with an uncanny ability to find common ground between different parties.
