Dave has extensive construction experience, working on a variety of projects of varying sizes and contractual arrangements. He was worked in projects all across the prove of Ontario in major cities like Toronto, Kingston, and Ottawa. His academic background is in Civil Engineering, which gave him the theoretic foundation for the practical work he has done in his over 44 years of involvement in the construction industry. Dave has taken part in the construction of some major projects throughout his career trajectory including the finalization of the Canadian War Museum, the Ottawa Convention Centre, and the construction of the temporary housing of parliament in West Block. This last project prepared Dave to tackle the complexity of the Centre Block rehabilitation project, where he currently finds himself as the General Superintendent. The rehabilitation of Centre Block is part of the federal government’s multibillion-dollar Long Term Vision and Plan for the Parliamentary Precinct. It is a Joint Venture between EllisDon and PCL, and requires extensive collaboration with multiple government parties, which is what makes coordination in this project so complex. Dave is responsible for the functionality of the project and how it affects multiple parties to successfully execute a project of this magnitude.
