Angela Clayton was appointed President and CEO of Infrastructure Ontario (IO) in July 2025.
With more than 25 years' experience in the infrastructure sector, Angela’s leadership reflects deep experience across both public and private sectors in the areas of strategic planning, risk management, infrastructure development and asset management.
As Chief Executive Officer of IO, Angela leads the organization in delivering on the government’s historic $220 billion plan to build and modernize public infrastructure across the province. She oversees IO’s core lines of business - including major project delivery, asset management and modernization, commercial advisory services, infrastructure lending and real estate development - to ensure the province’s most critical infrastructure projects are delivered efficiently and sustainably.
Angela is a Chartered Professional Accountant with a bachelor’s degree in commerce. She also holds several professional designations, including her Institute of Corporate Directors, Director (ICD.D), Project Management Professional (PMP), Facility Management Administrator (FMA) and Real Property Administrator (RPA).
In 2025, Angela was honored with the Outstanding Leader Award by the Women’s Infrastructure Network and recognized by SiteNews as one of the Most Influential People in Construction.
She is a passionate advocate for women in the infrastructure sector and actively seeks ways to make meaningful contributions to her community through her involvement in industry associations and volunteer efforts.
Angela currently serves as the Interim Chair of Ronald McDonald House Charities Toronto and is a board member of Markham District Energy. She has contributed her time and expertise to several organizations, including WTS Toronto Area Chapter, LOFT Community Services, YW Kitchener-Waterloo, Oak Ridges Moraine Land Trust and Future Possibilities for Kids.
