Jeff joined the Mechanical Contractors Association of Ontario (MCAO) in 2021 after serving for over 27 years in the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). He began his career overseeing the maintenance and repair of a myriad of Army weapons and communications equipment and in his last role he was responsible for the life-cycle management of several major Army fleets including the Leopard tanks, the M777 howitzers and the armoured personnel vehicles. Domestically, he was onsite for the G8 Summit in Kananaskis, Alberta in 2002 and in Vancouver, British Columbia during the 2010 Olympics. Internationally, he deployed to Bosnia twice and Afghanistan twice as well.
Shortly after beginning with MCAO he was engaged in negotiations and has since focused on learning the industry and building relationships with key stakeholders. Despite their differences, he has found similarities between the military and construction industry that he hopes to leverage for the betterment of the community.
Jeff holds a Bachelor in Civil Engineering, a Master of Business Administration, a Master in Defence Studies and a Certificate in Complex Project & Procurement Leadership. He is on the OCS board of directors and participates in a myriad other committees. A lifelong learner, he has thoroughly enjoyed navigating the complexities and challenges of the construction industry and fostering relationships with numerous external stakeholders.
